Hippies, Ronald Reagan and Chainsaws ... that sums up this horror comedy from the twisted mind of actor, David Arquette. The Tripper is a satire on slasher films, Republicans and vans with peace signs painted on em. The film begins in Reagan-era 80s, where a small boy witnesses his lumberjack father getting into a brawl with a tree-loving protester. While his father is dragged away by police, the boy grabs a chainsaw and cuts up the protester. Fast forward to the present, as a group of teens are vanning on their way to a hippie festival in the woods. Joey and Linda are the "bad" influences for their pals, Samantha and Ivan, while Jack and Jade are busy with each other, getting high and laid.

All 4 Horror is officially launched! I am setting up the link catagories and forums, as well as, getting new articles on everything horror related. Here's some of the stuff I am preparing for the month of Halloween:
- Dexter ... new season has arrived with a new guest star, Jimmy Smits.
- Supernatural ... the brothers are back hunting demons, now guided by an angel.
- Quarantine ... new film in the style of the film, Cloverfield, starring Dexter's sis, Jennifer Carpenter.
- Saw V ... the fifth installment of the gruesome horror series.
- 30 Days of Night ... a very cool vampire tale, I saw recently.
- The Tripper ... a bizarre, twisted horror comedy with an unbelievable cast.
- House of 9 ... a rare gem in the style of the scifi Cube films.

My oh my, how we have evolved ... humans and vampires living in perfect harmony. Well, not quite, but at least the vamps don't have to feed on the blood of us mere mortals, anymore. Not since the Japanese synthesized blood for all vampire kind. Now, they can sit down at the local dive, and order a nice drink like everyone else.
Bloody Mary's will never be the same.

Adapted from the Southern Vampire Mysteries, by author Charlaine Harris, comes a new black comedy series premiering tonight (September 9th, 2008) on HBO, True Blood. Six Feet Under's Alan Ball returns with this bizarre satire on southern life, set in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. Where 173 year-old vampire, Bill Compton, returns to his birth place, causing a bit of a stir among the residents. Local Barmaid, Sookie Stackhouse, becomes infatuated with the mysterious new arrival, and doesn't share some of the intolerance for the inclusion of vampires in modern society. You see, she knows what it's like to be different than everyone else, ever since she developed the strange ability to read others minds. Hooking up with Bill was a no-brainer, but ...
