Imagine a world ... not with one beloved Spiderman, but with a whole army of spidermen running around devouring every human in sight. That's what this upcoming horror feast made-to-order for the SciFi Channel is all about. No nerdy teen turned super hero here, Webs is a world turned upside down with the last remnants of humanity trying desperately to survive in an alternative Earth infested with humanoid spider things.

I knew there was a reason I never chose a career as a City Worker. They always seem to be digging all the wrong things up, like dragons or in this case - an Earth in another dimension with spider man-creatures feeding upon human flesh. A team of 4 Chicago electrical workers go poking around a 15 year old abandoned building. They stumble across a mysterious locked room that shouldn't exist, according to their blueprints. But does that stop them? Hell, no ... they break in and fumble around until they set off a mysterious light beam that sucks them into what appears to be their city of Chicago, completely deserted.

  • Dean - played by Richard Grieco (of 21 Jump Street fame, Inhumanoid, Michael Angel)
  • Ray - played by Richard Yearwood (plays Nestov in the sci-fi series Tracker)
  • Junior - played by Jason Jones (Terminal Invasion)
  • Sheldon - played by Jeff Douglas

OK, so this version of Chicago isn't quite void of life. It has a few humans living in it, not to mention a slew of hungry, slimy spider like dudes. This small band of not-so-merry humans is lead by a hot babe, and they are quite ready to become these monster's next meal.

  • Elena - played by Kate Greenhouse (Roswell: The Aliens Attack and currently Mrs. Liberti in HBO series Street Time)
  • Crane - played by David Nerman (Witchboard III: The Possession, The Minion, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World, and The Second Arrival)
  • Dr. Richard Morelli - played by Colin Fox (The Three Musketeers, Food of the Gods 2, Scanners 3: The Takeover, and Deathlands: Homeward Bound)

Will humanity in this bizarre parallel world avoid extinction? Can they even hope to defeat the vicious Spider Queen and her minions?? Do the four city workers have any chance returning to their Chicago, where spiders are meant to be squashed and NOT be hosts for supper???
