Talk about holding a grudge ... imagine you are cop tracking down a serial killer, who turns the tables and murders your wife. You catch him, they execute him ... then some over zealous scientist gets his hands on the body, and brings him back to life. Now, this maniac is on the loose again, and not too happy about what you did to him. He has a new lease on life ... totally messing up YOURS. This is the premise for a new TBS original, Evil Never Dies. Thomas Gibson (Night Visitors, The Devil's Child, The Lost Empire, and of course, Greg of the sitcom Dharma & Greg) plays Detective Mark Ryan, a shell of a man since his wife was victim of vicious serial killer. And while Ryan caught the murderer, and justice served with his execution, he remains guilt ridden from the loss of his wife and is transferred to patrol duty at a local college. Ryan finds comfort in the arms of Eve, played by Katherine Heigl (Prince Valiant, Bride of Chucky, Bug Buster, and best known as Isabel from the sci-fi series, Roswell). However, she is working as an assistant to a modern-day Dr. Frankenstein. Australian film star, John Waters, stars as Professor Arken, a rather ambitious scientist performing naughty experiments in secret ... such as, trying to bring the recently deceased back to the living. He gets his grubby little hands on the body of an infamous serial killer, William Charles Lee, played by Simon Bossell (Aberration). Lee is successfully brought back to life, and ready to continue his reign of terror. And while Eve is able to tell all this to Detective Ryan, no one else knows about these mad experiments. The murder spree is back in play, but the police think it's simply the work of a copy cat. No one believes Ryan's bizarre tale of the serial killer brought back to life, and on the loose in the city. And so, it's all up to Ryan to track down his arch enemy, and try one more time to stop this evil that just won't stay dead. Evil Never Dies premieres Sunday, June 1st, 2003 at 8pm on TBS Superstation: http://tbssuperstation.com/originalmovies/title/0,,5040,00.html
