DON'T go in the Woods!!! A simple rule in horror films, especially if you are a good looking teen. But alas, a juicy horror flick just wouldn't be right without a group of teens breaking a few laws of horror-dom. Wrong Turn is about a young guy named Chris, driving fast and furious to get a job interview in North Carolina. Unfortunately, he finds himself stuck in traffic behind an accident on a long stretch of West Virginia highway.
Then, as the title aptly reminds us, Chris sees a way out of the traffic jam, and pulls onto a dirt road. It is here Chris meets a group of 5 young folk ... by smashing into the backside of their car. You see, this group got stuck in these dark woods a little earlier that day, when their tires were blown out by some strategically placed barb wire on the road.
OK, so your tires are blown out, and some moron has just smashed into your car, stranding on a lonely, dusty road ... what should you do? Why split up and find a phone in the woods , of course! And where else should a phone be found in the middle of the woods ... a creepy cabin, of course!! I guess these are the very last 6 teens on the planet that don't carry a cellphone. Now, the infamous pig squealing' scene in the classic film, Deliverance, is pretty damn scary. So, what could be worse than two inbred, mountain men rapists? Why 3 inbred and rather deformed, backwoods cannibals, of course!!!
Let the Hunt begin! Release Date: May 30th, 2003 The official web site is notably lacking a trailer (the 2 scuttlebutt's are that they are saving previews for Buffy, The Vampire Slayer final episodes - or - that the trailers were created, but too intense to show), but there are photos and info: http://www.wrongturnmovie.com/
